Milestones

Over the last two months we have celebrated several milestones.

  • Chad celebrated 50 years of life
  • Our family was able to purchase a newer car thanks to many generous donations
  • Chad started a new role at World Impact as the National Director of Mobilization
  • Justice turned 18 years old
  • Rebecca turned 20 years old
  • Fabiola was trained and certified in teen trauma healing
  • Our church, Fuente, celebrated its 15th anniversary
  • We had the grand opening for our coffee shop as we launch this new outreach ministry

50 years - so glad to be surrounded by family, friends and our church family!

A big answer to prayer… After struggling with multiple breakdowns, we were able to get a much newer and safer vehicle. Thank you to all who contributed and prayed!

Chad and his team praying for God’s direction (above) and fellowshipping together (below) at our first in-person meetings. Chad is now responsible for the strategic mobilization and expansion of World Impact with team members throughout the US.

Pray for wisdom, favor and fruit in this new leadership role.

Justice and one of his professors at Biola University (he is a freshman studying Christian Ministries).

Rebecca (in hat) and her 3 roommates at TCU (she is studying Elementary Education and is a junior).

Fabiola has continued her training in trauma healing groups and is now looking for opportunities to train churches in Los Angeles and throughout Latin America.

We had a powerful and joyful time looking back at all that the Lord has done over the last 15 years in our South Central Los Angeles outreach as a church. There is so much to give thanks to God for and yet we have so much more vision to see a deepening and expansion of the work, touching more people now and into the next generations.

One of the creative expressions of outreach in this next season is how we converted the house next door to our church into a coffee shop and hang out for the community.

Here is a video of our ribbon cutting ceremony and dedication to the Lord of Fuente Café.

Fuente Cafe Grand Opening (60 seconds)

Fuente Cafe's vision is to create a safe place of peace for our community, where they can be introduced to God's love and our church community while providing quality products.

In our update in July we shared about Gabriel and Fabiola B’s participation in the ministry and their wedding, here are a few pictures of their special day.

Prayer Requests

  • Chad’s leadership of World Impact’s national mobilization team (wisdom, good leadership, ability to find and hire new team members, growth and fruit).

  • Growth in Fuente church’s leadership teams and for fruitful outreaches during our Thanksgiving and Christmas events.

  • Fuente Café can impact our community and become a place where lives are changed (and become self-sustaining).
