We came
to South Central Los Angeles to plant churches.
At the core of this ministry is raising people up that come from the
darkness and slavery of a hopeless life and teaching them to hear and believe
in the one true God. Paul said, “faith
comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” (Romans
10:17).
Just last
month we baptized Nancy. She was invited
to church by her friends (Erika and Nance) and quickly came to a saving faith
making Jesus Lord of her life. It was God
who called her to Himself and to be baptized as she read her Bible and took in
what was happening at our church. Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I
know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27).
Nancy is a perfect example of somebody that is following Jesus. God is
speaking and more and more people in our church and community are listening and
obeying.
Erika and
Nance are also listening to God’s voice.
A couple months ago when the other World Impact missionaries
transitioned off of our church planting team Erika and Nance, feeling lead by
God, took the initiative to step-up and together take the lead of the youth
ministry at our church. Nance is also
helping in many other responsibilities at the church that were previously done
by missionaries causing her great personal and spiritual growth. These three
ladies have been growing in leadership and not only catching the vision, but
sharing the vision with others.
Please join
us in prayer this month for Nancy, Erika and Nance as they continue to walk out
the call on their life in our growing church.
Pray that they would be quick to listen and obey the Word of God and
effective in their ministry to others.
Pray protection for them and our family from the schemes of the
enemy.
Along
with other ministry events we have planned this month, please be in prayer
especially for our marriage conference and evangelistic outreach in the
park.
Thank you
so much for your prayers and for partnering with us so that more people may
hear and know the voice of Jesus – and more churches may be planted.
Chad, Fabiola, Rebecca and Justice
